"Angels at our Table" - Williams Syndrome Stories

This book of WS family stories, incorporating the story of how the Williams Syndrome Association of Ireland came into being, was launched in the Lucan Spa Hotel during the 20th Anniversary Celebration Event on 20th October 2007. The book includes 8 family stories and encapsulates what having a WS person in a family really means. It details the sorrows and joys, the bad days and the good days, the triumphs and the failures that WS families deal with. It leaves the reader with a sense that Williams Syndrome people are very special, loving, caring individuals that give a great deal to their families and to the societies they live in.

The book costs Eur 20 and copies are available from the Williams Syndrome Association of Ireland. Please complete the Order Form and send it with full payment to the WSAI (address on the order form). Copies can also be ordered via the following website - www.originalwriting.ie.

"The Williams Family Album"

"The Williams Family Album" CD contains 4 tracks :

This is a unique CD! The music for the four tracks was composed by people with Williams Syndrome. The lyrics were composed during the annual WSAI Music/Activity Camp. This recording (made by Dave Flynn et al) shows the extraordinary musical ability of some people with WS. It demonstrates just one of the talents of our WS people that needs to be encouraged and supported in every way possible. By purchasing the CD you will be supporting the WSAI and its members.

The CD costs Eur 5 and is available from the WSAI by completing the Order Form. 

Music/Activity Camp 2010 - 10th Anniversary

This year will see the 10th Anniversary of the annual Music/Activity Camp. It will take place from 15th to 22nd August 2010. Click here for further details. This year we need to raise funds to cover the cost of the camp - see next item for one way that you can help!

Women's Mini Marathon 2010 - 10K (= 6.2 miles):

In previous years many women have participated in the Womens' mini marathon on behalf of the Williams Syndrome Association of Ireland. Over the years the event has been an important source of funds for us. We are hoping to make a big effort this year to raise funds through participation in this event. We badly need to raise money to cover the cost of this year's Music/Activity camp. We have not received any National Lottery funding for the camp since 2006!  Can you or any of your friends help us in 2010?   

Details for the event will be posted here as soon as they are available. It usually takes place on the June bank holiday Monday (which this year will be Monday 7th June).

Sponsorship cards and WSAI teeshirts will be supplied to any women who can take part in this event on behalf of the Williams Syndrome Association of Ireland. Simply contact the WSAI.
